Hawkeye Farms Beach Theme Litter turns 5-Months old. Happy Birthday Morgan, Shiloh, Tucker, Ethan, Nikki, Angie and Annie,

December 20th, 2015

We received very sad news that Hawkeye's You Satisfy Me (Snickers) owned by Kim Grantham passed away on 12-19-2015 at the age of 13+ years. Snickers was out of our Pickup Line Litter out of Max and Katie. We know that Kim and his family are missing her and our thoughts and prayers go out to them at this time.

December 12th, 2015

Lot of time has past with us over the past few years and we have fell short on posting to the website mainly because of social media and the addition of the Farms Facebook page. I guess as technology changes things tend to migrate to the new formats. However, that doesn't mean that our site is less important, in fact this site has been an anchor for us on the Internet for a long time and will continue as we bring new and exciting news to anyone that follows us.

So what's new: I guess we will start off with the most exciting news and work backwards.

As of December 9th and 10th 2015 we have bread Raven (CH Shumaker Hills Gimme Three Steps HT) via trans-cervical endoscopic artificial  insemination  at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine using our 2001 collection of frozen seaman from Max (BISS CH Waldenmark's Master Blend CD RN). We are extremely excited and have our fingers crossed that this breeding will take and hope to have a litter due around the first of February 2016. So keep looking for updates in the next few weeks.

Also we want to wish a Happy Birthday to the Football Litter that will have a birthday on December 23. They will turn 11 years old. So happy birthday to Kenny, Brewski, Oscar, Razzle and Zoe. We love you guys.

February 2015, Raven, Joey and Kenny go to a herding trial in Pensacola FL and take a shot at getting their herding instinct titles. Let's just say that Joey and Kenny were not that interested and Kenny thought those sheep might be a danger to mom (Anji) so he just made sure they didn't get close to her. Joey of course was 12-yrs old and he just didn't see the sense in messing with nasty sheep so he just walked on back over to the gate and looked like you can let me out now. As for Raven well she took her time and after a few minutes it clicked in and she took off working the sheep. So she passed her first leg. We waited awhile and went in for her second leg and this time she knew exactly what to do and worked the flock like a pro (not really but we told her good job) and she passed her test and earned her HT Title.

October 2014, We closed on our home in Foley Al just a few miles north of the Alabama Gulf Coast. We eventually will move there after we retire. For us this is a change of pace and we are in a cookie cutter neighborhood on a corner lot. But we are just 8-miles to the beach and Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area, 5-miles over to Perdido Bay or Mobile Bay areas and about an hr from Mobile or Pensacola. Most of you don't know but Anji was born in Mobile and spent most of her childhood off Fort Morgan Rd in Gulf Shores so this is home to her. We love the area and will eventually down size as we get older.

August 2014, Bad news happen this month as Tommy encountered a heart attack with major blockage in the LAD area. Lucky for us Anji was able to get me to the hospital when the event took place and we had an excellent doctor that placed a stint in the area to clear the blockage and opened the passage of another area with the balloon. It was indeed a scary moment but the good lord took care of us.

May 26, 2014. Raven (CH Shumaker Hills Gimme Three Steps HT) earns her AKC Championship at the Asheville KC shows.  Very exciting and long weekend of showing but a lot of nice owners and lovely dogs were there and perfect weather.

Spring and Summer of 2014: New House construction and lots of trips back and forth to the coast. Numerous shows as we worked towards completing Raven's championship.

August 27th, 2013

Well this is a Happy Birthday to the Pick Up Line Litter that turns 11 years old. Hard to believe that these babies are this old now. We hope that those that are still with us are doing great and enjoying the easy life. We are fortunate to have had such a great littler. As for our resident from the crib Mr. Joey took his new photos on the day before so here is a link to them (Joey) or you can see him on our Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Hawkeye-Farms-Belgian-Tervuren-Dogs/191652264210846. Best wishes to all and enjoy the photos.

November 30th, 2012

We said goodbye to Max at age 15yrs and 2 mo. BISS CH Waldenmark's Master Blend CD RN 09-21-1997 to 11-30-2012. He touched our hearts in so many ways that words can't describe them. He of course was the great Champion in the ring but most of all he was my boy and companion. He was simply the best dog anyone could have asked for. Anji and I are indeed thankful for all the years we were blessed to have him and will miss him greatly.

April 28-29, 2012

We also enjoyed seeing everyone and watching their beautiful dogs.

April 19, 2012

BOSS CH. Stonewall's Frankly My Dear CGC HIC "Katie" 4-14-99/4-19-12 We said good-by to our Sweet Katie today. We always said she loved us too much one paw on your shoulder then the other back paws around you and kiss all over your face. That was our Katie. She gave us one litter and when she left the box she always left a toy on the rail to watch over her pups. She was a joy to show and loved the ring. But more important she was one of those girls who took our hearts and was one of the best companions we have had the pleasure to have in our family. We will miss her tremendously.

January 14-15 2012

CH Hawkeye's Home Field Advantage RN (Kenny) takes back to back Select Dog at the Golden Triangle KC Show.

End of 2011 Recap:

Your Best Pick Up Line Litter (Max x Katie) Pics http://www.tervs.net/pickuppics.htm

  • October of 2010 Meagan and Rex helped Zoë cross the Rainbow Bridge.

  • Forest and Martin are doing really well.

  • Snickers sent new pictures via Kim she looks like her Mom Katie.

  • Joey is here with us the apple of Anji’s eye.

  • Sundance and Ginny earned certification as a NASAR Canine SAR TECH III. Working on an unknown subject in a 40 acre wilderness area.

From the Football Lingo Litter (Max x Sienna) Pics http://www.tervs.net/footballpics.htm

  • First let me say Sienna we miss you. We said good bye to her in March 2011 after she became ill with cancer.

  • Razzle found a new home with the Koster family in New Hampshire. Where she is working and earned her PT this year.

  • Brew is living the high life with Rachel always there to get his kisses.

  • Oscar is fine in Puerto Rico

  • Kenny and Tommy earned their first group placements and 2 owner handlers’ group 1’s. Not bad for only a couple of weekends of showing this year.

Max age 14.5 and Katie age 12.5 are the old folks and doing well for their age. Joey is 9 and Kenny just turned 7. In October of this year we open our hearts to a new baby Miss Raven who is now part of the Hawkeye Farms team. Thanks to Shumaker Hills for the addition.

As for the humans we are fine now. The April Tornado were a hard thing to deal with on every level, we made it through. Anji had major neck surgery and Tommy had eye surgery as well. So we took it easy and went fishing this year and tried to heal. So looking forward to 2012 and thanking God for looking over us this past year.

  2008 News

December 2008

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Here is our Holiday page enjoy. Christmas 2008

November 2008

Anji and Max make it three in a row. Hawkeye Farms third Rally Novice Title this year goes to Max (CH Waldenmark's Master Blend CD,RN, CGC, HIC) at age 11+ years old. A big congratulations is in order for Anji and  her boys, she took 8-months three different dogs (Joey, Kenney & Max) and nine shows (three per dog) to pickup three Rally titles this year. While it was quick it was still a lot of hard work and dedication. Now her only problem is does she move on to advance with the boys or start working on  Katie and Sienna RN titles? I guess we will wait and see what comes next. Way to go Anji and the Hawkeye boys you did a great job and we are very proud of you.

Other quick news is that now that Joey (CH Hawkeye's You know U want It RN, CGC) has been reclaimed back to the conformation ring by me where he truly belongs we picked up three more Best of Breed wins this month. We will take off for the holidays but will be back at it after the first of the year.

We also have to brag on Bobbie Kilduff and Leah our Irish Setter baby who finished her Championship earlier this month and made a serious run at a group placement this past weekend in Montgomery. Way to go girls you done good!

November kicked off with Anji and the boys doing their thing in the Rally ring. CH Hawkeye's Home Filed Advantage "AKA Kenny" added his third leg to finish his Rally Novice (RN) title at the BOTC trials on Nov-1. Not putting up with the younger lads strutting their stuff daddy Max also set out this same weekend and picked up two of his Rally Novice legs. What can you say Anji has indeed been a busy lady and taking care of business with boys. To date she has put two RN titles on Joey and Kenny and two legs on Max's RN. Daddy Tommy and the girls are very proud of Anji and the boys for their accomplishments.

October 2008

ABTC Regional Weekend hosted by SEBTC & Kennesaw KC was a great weekend for our boys. Kenny "CH Hawkeye's Home Field Advantage"  was entered in his first Rally events and picked up two of his Rally legs with placements from the RN B class. Joey "CH Hawkeye's You Know U Want It RN CGC AOM"  received the ABTC Award of Merit (Select) at the regional on Saturday. Our dear friend Bobbi Kilduff also took a 4-point major and Best of Winners and Best Opposite Sex on Leah her Irish Setter this same weekend. We are very proud of everyone for having a super weekend.

June 2008

Hawkeye Farms is proud to announce our newest Rally Novice performance title holder CH Hawkeye's U Know You Want It RN CGC (Joey) at the Huntsville Trials May 31st with a finishing score of 96.

What can a good dog accomplish 11 weeks? Joey has been working very hard for the past couple of of months and the results of his new Rally title with placements along with his CGC, seven Best of Breed wins and a Herding Group 3 truly shows his versatility. We are extremely proud of our Bred by boy who is continuing to excel in the different venues of the sport.

May 2008

Wow what a way to kick off the month. Ms. Razzle earned her CD title with a 2nd place finish at the BOTC trials on May 3, 2008. That same weekend Anji and Joey made their Rally debut and earned two of their RN legs from Rally B along with a 4th place finish. Papa Tommy is very proud of all his girls and Mr. Joey.

April 2008

Joey earns his CGC certification and continues his Breed wins at Montgomery KC shows where he went BOB all three days.

Well it is show season once again and we just got back from the Birmingham and Tuscaloosa shows at Brierfield State Park. It was a great weekend and Joey took two Best of Breed wins and picked up a Group Three with a nice entry of Tervs at the show.

January-March 2008

October 2007

SEBTC Shows at Kennesaw KC, GA; four days of shows with the SEBTC hosted ABTC Regional Specialty and Supported entry shows. We stated off with rain and  messy weather but being any typical dog show we all managed to get past the obvious and do our best. The guys were troopers and Kenney, CH Hawkeyes Homefield Advantage whom was out as a special for the very first time had a pretty good weekend being on competition against a large field of  much older specials he was able to hold his own by being pulled on Friday as one of only two males for Best of Breed consideration. At the Regional show on Saturday Max CH Waldenmark's Master Blend CD HIC  was entered in Veteran Sweeps age 9-12 where under breeder judge Mrs. Judy Bradley who award him first place in his class.

September 2007

The following weekend after the Atlanta shows we took off for the hills of Tennessee at the Murfreesboro KC shows where all three of the boys were entered. Yes that right all three with daddy Max who celebrated his 10th Birthday on the 21st and must have been on a birthday high because he showed in Veterans where he went Best Veteran in breed. Not to be out done Kenny went Winners Dog and Best of Winners for two more points and then on Sunday he went Winners dog once again to earn his Championship Title (CH Hawkeyes Homefield Advantage).

Back on the road after a long summer and as Anji put it taking the Bubble Wrap off me from the broken neck surgery. Well it didn't seem to slow us down too much as we went over to the Atlanta KC cluster on Saturday and we were able to go Winners Dog and Best of Winners for Kenny's second major and putting us at 12-points towards his Championship title.

August 2007

Happy Birthday to the Pickup Line Litter: Joey, Snickers, Sundance, Forrest, Lexis, Zoe and Starbuck

May 2007

Very sad news was received on May 21 from Mark and Denise King with the loss of Hawkeye's King of Hearts Aka King.  He was a super friend and companion to the King family for the past 15 years and 5 months. Our heart and deepest sympathy go out to them (King 12/21/1991-5/21/2007).

Cross Roads Cluster Perry GA; Kenny ,Hawkeye's Home Field Advantage goes winners dog on Thursday show for one point. Friday show  Joey, CH Hawkeye's You Know You Want It takes Best of Breed and Kenny goes reserve. Saturday and Sunday shows Kenny take Best Opposite Sex over the male specials for two points and one point. The Perry shows were really a lot of fun and we enjoyed seeing many of our friends.  Pictures of Joey and Kenny are listed on their pages.

Wedding bells rang in early May on two occasions. Our niece Megan was married to Scott on May 5th. That same weekend on the 4th Brewski got a new daddy with the tying of the knot of his mom Rachel King to her new husband Kenny Denston. Congratulations to the newly weds we wish both couples many years of love and happiness.

Noel was our first Bred-By Champion and the queen of the house. Our hands were the first ones to hold her and the last to let go which is the true meaning of a breeder owner handler. From life till death they are a part of our life and forever in our hearts. With the deepest love, Tommy and Anji.

Hold on folks we may have a movie star on our hands or is it Brewski posing as Mr. Smith. This is a good looking guy. Click on the link to check him out Football Litter Link He is at the bottom of the page.

With the dog days of summer still hanging around and the heat index well over 100 degrees there hasn't been too much to do but try and stay cool. However, for Razzle this isn't the case. We have just received news that they have earned their RA (Rally Advance) title as of 8-6-06 with a qualifying score of 95 and a 4th place finish. We now understand that fly ball and obedience are the next two events that require conquering. Keep going girls you are doing great.

Can’t Stop Me Now (Kaz) are kept out of the litter. Five from the litter become Champions
and three obedience CD titles are earned.

Scarlet and Shea are still in the mix of conformation. Both winning, Shea earns her SKC championship and becomes a dual champion she continues to become a multiple group winner and placer.

We lose Shelby.

Cachet Noir’s Lil’ Hawkeye (Shea) joins the family.

Hawkeye’s Hot Le Ciel Du Sud (Scarlet) joined the family as our first Tervuren and conformation dog.
